Kelford Camshafts

We just started carrying these and they look very promising. These are new and will be available in the next couple weeks.

06+ Civic Si Kelford Stage 1 Camshafts

179-A camshafts are designed as a stage one upgrade for the popular Honda K20a/K20Z & K24A2 engines.

These camshafts offer moderate performance increase and are an easy fit because they only require the stock valve spring to be used.

The primary and Intermediate lobes are fractionally larger than the TSX and the main lobe features mor area for increased mid and top end performance.

Primary / Secondary lobe specifications are:
Int, 272/274 @ 0.1mm, 202/210 @ 1.00mm 7.55/8.30mm Valve lift
Exh, 272/276 @ 0.1mm, 202/212 @ 1.00mm, 7.55/7.55mm Valve lift

Dimensions:
Length: 0.00 inches - Width: 0.00 inches
Height: 0.00 inches - Weight: 5.50 kg

The stage 1 sounds very attractive "The primary and Intermediate lobes are fractionally larger than the TSX...." I just boughtt a TSX intake cam to install to my Civic with SC'd application. I wonder if the intake cam of Kelford would give me more power; however, it's an expensive bet: doble cost of cams, installation, and tuning.

As I mentioned above, I just bought a brand new TSX intake cam which is going to be installed and tuned at the end of February. I just need the intake cam for my SC application.

If nobody does it before, I can make it happen by then if there is a reasonable proposition in hand to cover incremental costs in testing Kelford cams. At the end of the day, a favourable result is in the benefit of Kelford and its dealers.

My car has already participated twice as guinea pig in testing programs, fortunately, with good results.

I can vouch for Mike and the guys over at Autowave. They do great work and know their stuff. They have a Dyno Dynamics though, which measure at the wheels. They must have taken it back to PASSWORD:JDM to get those numbers.
