skunk2 shortshifter

Hey corsport. I have bought nearly 90% of all my parts from you guys and I saw a thread that skunk2 has a new shortshifter out. Are you guys planning on selling them?

I've noticed small differences in shape and price with the short shifters. Other than the percent of throw thats reduced are there any other differences between them?

They all shorten throws in the same range so there is no difference in functionality. Only notable differences from what I can tell (and from looking around) are the appearances.

Bump! I couldn't find the skunk2 SS on the website.

Somesaid on the Kingsport forum that Skunk2 only made a limited amount of these and they could sell. Is this true that you know of Tai? If so i'll make sure to order mine soon!

Hey I just bought this item from you guys and it didn't fit. It seems too long to me. I couldn't shift to half the gears because the shift arm that goes down to the tranny hits the shifter base. I have an 09 si. Is this suppose to be just for the basic civic? Anyone else try to install this on an 09 si?

Well if that's so, then why don't you say that on your website? And why doesn't it say that it's required in the installation instructions?

And I hear that you have to staple it down too. I wish there was a diy for them

Skunk2 had not told us they would require trimming. -- and we did not write their instructions for them.

On our product (our own SS) we do state the trimming is required.

No trimming required on the Comptech SS. I installed it over 2 years ago and have had no issues.

No trimming on 90% of civics ON ANY OF THE short shifters.

Lets get the info right. We have 500+ of these sold (+/-30 needed to trim) regardless of brand. And FWIW, our (old ones) and P2Rs are exactly the same as the Comptech ones.

I install these things all the time, almost none need trimming -- its the newer civics only with slightly varied production clearances.
