It is finished with an all matte-black powder-coat from piping to tip. -- I assume this means muffler only -- but I haven't seen one yet in person.

Here's my dilemma with this exhaust. I heard my friend's WS2 the other day, he took off at full throttle while I was outside, and I could barely hear him. He has a Strup header, Injen cold air, and the WS2 with the N1 midpipe (He also has the N1 axleback, he swaps them out for daily driving and meets). Is the N1 midpipe the same as the WS2 midpipe? If so, I'm definitely going to hop on the Apexi Noir and be the test subject in the South Florida crew with this exhaust.

^diameter is the same -- id assume they are identical -- if not, very similar -- either way, the N1 is the louder one, the ws2/Noir's are really quiet.

Yeah, I've heard both the N1 and the WS2 with the Strup header, and the N1 is nearly deafening. I was just concerned that because my friend was using the N1 midpipe and the WS2 axle back that it would sound different with the full WS2 catback, I liked the way the mix sounded. I'm not too keen on how exhaust notes come to be, whether the midpipe makes the most difference or if the axleback/resonator does. That probably didn't make much sense, but what can I do, lol. Once I have some extra money (possibly tax return) I'll be getting this exhaust. After owning the LSD Power-4, I want to keep my cabin quiet and still sound great from now on. Thanks a lot

hey Corsport -- any chance these are in stock and ready to ship? i noticed the original post said they'd take 1-2 weeks, but this was a few months ago. i'd like to order tonight, and hopefully have it by next week (spring break! plenty of time to install.) thank you!
edit- i'm impatient and just went ahead and ordered it last night... here's to hoping! LOL Last edited by enojy; 03-26-2009 at 02:39 PM. |

^^ we have sold so many now they are all taking 2-3 weeks to get at the moment as apexi cannot keep up with demand yet.

^ sorry, let me reword my question.... i know it comes only in 60 mm but do i have a choice of straight through muffler design since i plan to go S/C? or does it automatically come w. the chambered muffler design which i would figure would be more restrictive?
