... so, anyway, I ended up sending yours out today via USPS first class w/ delivery confirmation and insurance thinking it was a regular package.

Once again, I apologize, in any normal situation this would not have happened, we have just been slammed for the last two days because of all those cable bushing backorders.

Thanks,

No problem, I can understand with all the confusion and rush. They work great though. I love them. Any info on if Corsport will be making the shifter base bushings?

Stupid question, but what do the base bushings do? And how will they be installed?

Not sure on the installation but it's the same as for the ones Corsport has now for the tranny location. Reduced play

They go under the base of the actual shifter mechanism and help keep it tighter and more stable by replacing the rubber washers.

Damn it I really hate the USPS. The last update to tracking information was on Monday but according to the website, they haven't even received the bushings yet. I'm sure they have and their systems just haven't updated yet. I hope I get them soon, I wanted to install them this weekend.

Edit:

Looks like I spoke too soon. They just came in. :)

Thanks Tai!

Same here, I ordered some things from a website and I get the tracking number but no info...they show up before they update the tracking......USPS is faster in delivering over UPS but less reliable in tracking

Im finding out these may not fit 07 civic si's -- I guess they changed the shifter cable/mechanism sizes. -- If someone can post a picture of the 07 Si tranny where the cables meet so we can see if they changed it I would appreciate it.

I'll take some pictures this afternoon. I was really hoping to get them installed today. Quick question, if I take out the stock bushings, do they get ruined in the process? It would be really bad if I can't get the new ones in but can't but the stock ones back.

I installed my bushings today and the stock "washer" made it to thick on the smaller bushing so I could not get the cotter pin to go in. I could not even use the stock pin to fit either. Didnt use the "washer" and went in fine with a slight play in the busing now. I guess Ill go to the hardware store to get a thinner one.

Edit: Got back from the hardware store. I ended up buying a thinner cotter pin. All good now.

Yeah, you do not re-use the stock washer. No washer is fine.

I installed these on my '06 Sedan and everything went smoothly. I'm not sure why the instructions say it's "Optional" to remove the airbox because it would be impossible otherwise.

Removing the stock rubber busings was a walk in the park. Getting the new ones in were a bit difficult. Used a mallet to tap the new c-clip onto the bushing and used my hand for the cotter-like pin.

So is there anyone who installed this on an 07 Si yet? Will it fit like the 06's?

J. M. back by popular demand!

Just installed mine..Took me about 1.5 hours (and I've done extensive car work).
I ran into several issues along the way:

1. Removing the stock, small bushing was beyond difficult...Took me like .5 hour to get that bastard out (IDK why...it just did not wanna come out).

2. Getting the shifter mount (?) back on was a bit dufficult due to the placement of the bolts.

3. The stock airbox tubing is difficult to get back on correctly...just had to work at it a bit....

As far as installing the new bushings, c-clips, and cotter pins that was a breeze.

Overall I felt a bit of a diffeence in the shifts (I already have the Comptech ss). I'd say worth the $30...

I just pushed them on by hand and then banged the clip with some pliers to get it on the rest of the way...
