i bought these a while back maybe 2 mths ago, and i just installed them this weekend because i didn't have time...
Short review: The ONLY hard part about these things is getting the stock cotter pins off... what a pain in the arse!! lol The rest was a breeze, especially with a cai installed, i don't think taking out the stock airbox would be too difficult anywayz. Oh and remove the battery for extra space, its handy. The good news about these is they actually work lol Ya they tighten up the shifter quite some, lol reverse is so tight, sometimes i can't get it out, but it makes the shifting feel so much better, these coupled with twm ss + base bushings ftw...... now i ordered amsoil mtf can't wait to get it in, so that should be the most awesome shifter evaaaaaaaaar |

First time ordering from corsport this afternoon, and I must say, I am quite impressed. Not 2 hours after I ordered, I get emails on status updates on every item, and then Tai emails me with a tracking number for my cable bushings. Talk about speedy!

Hey Tai
I will be ordering the bushing set very soon from you but I would like to get a short shifter as well. I noticed they make one for the si but what about DX, LX, EX models? And if so where can I find them? If you guys are selling them Ill order the bushings and short shifter. Also arent you guys the ones selling the shift knob with the gear pattern on the head of it? Thanks for the quick response in advance!!

TWM and Comptech both make a short shifter, works on all the manual models. Personally, I went with TWM and I think it's outstanding, but have heard good things about comptech as well. I'm not sure about corsport's, but it should be good as well, they are a reliable company. I guess it depends if you want to wait or not.

tai im having an issue with the bushings.....
im pretty sure i installed everything correctly... on the BIG bushing, the one u can see face up, its a litle loose as in there is a little bit of play, upwards and downwards on it, and the "ring" that goes on the bottom floats around...which means it turns....so i set the opening where its supposed to clear the piece at the back, and it clears fine, but then when i drive and i check it after, its shifted around and the opening has moved around so its now grinding a bit on the back...did i do something wrong?? ive taken it off and put it back in...but i cant figure it out |
