I just installed my shifter bushings, the small one was a B!TCH to get in. I just pounded that hoe in! Other than that everything was straight forward. I took it for a spin around the block and WOW! What a world of difference! No more play, shifting is really tight and stiff in a good way!! I can't wait to order some base bushings to complete my shifting mods. Thanks tai! Can you please forward me to the base bushings. Thanks!

If the large bushing is put in STRAIGHT it will go in without any trouble.

I install these all the time, just be smooth and straight and lightly tap the large bushing in, if you get it crooked at all its going to fight itself.

Any update on base bushings? I'd like to order base + cable bushings at the same time.

Thanks

Cable bushings should be back in stock within two weeks, the base bushings for the 06+ civics we do not yet make.

After the install, should the C clips be able to move? The clip for only the small bushing is able to revolve around the bushing, in the groove.

how do i remove the rubber bushing out? I tried pulling them, i tried prying them...I kept toying with it for about an hour and then had to put everything back to stock because I had to move my car. What am I doing wrong so I can finish the job tomorrow. Everyone says it's such an easy install

I'm on this step of the DIY:
III. REMOVE THE STOCK RUBBER BUSHINGS:
Now its time to change the stock shifter bushings. Remover the cotter pin, then pull off the Metal spacer and plastic circle. With your fingers, push out the old bushing.

do I need to disconnect anything? I kind of twist the link when trying to push out the bushing...I'm scared I'm gonna snap it or ruin something in my car.

Gonna try again later tonight when I install my SRI as well. Do I push it from the bottom and push up, or push down on it from the top? Sorry for all the stupid questions

do not pull on the cable to much or you will brake it. get a screwdriver and stick it in the the center of the metal part of the bushing then just pry it out.

I just used what you took the cotter pin out of, to pop out the bushing, maybe have someone with stonger fingers try it.
