Many of the KONI Sport dampers are externally adjustable by means of a knob, so they need not be disassembled from the car. The fine-tuning of the damping forces to personal driving style and to different driving conditions is therefore not more than a matter of seconds. The KONI Sport is valved a bit more aggressively than our Special D for performance driving.

Externally Adjustable. These dampers can be adjusted, literally at the turn of a knob, a technique borrowed from Formula-1 racing where KONI dampers have dominated the field for years. One can switch back and forth, in most cases in a matter of seconds, from a comfortable "touring" setting to a more firm setting for a sporty drive. By means of a knob damping forces can be altered to driving conditions or personal preferences.

We changed the description on these a little to clear any confusion.

****Special McPherson strut insert bolted into O.E. housing after cutting top and removing old internal parts. Professional install is recommended as they require heavy modifications of your shocks and will look something like this.



Basically on the front you take out and replace your old shocks with these.

I think you should update the original post with that info and Thread Title with "inserts", as the front uses OEM housing for the insert. Rear, I assume, is Koni housing in shock form. Don't need people getting the wrong idea about pretty looking front mcpherson assemblies. Haha.
