problem with corsport Short shifter

hi, i purchased a Short shifter from you guys and my friend tried to install it for me today, but we encountered a problem. The SS rubs when i try shifting into gear. i was wondering if i can get a refund, or have an exchange or something. Extremely Upset about this.
My friend has some pictures, i'll try to get them on here

Your right, it does not go in all the way.. but it should not be a struggle either. I own a comptech SS and it has no issue going in all the way as much as the Corsport SS. We pushed the SS up as much as we could but to no avail.

We installed one yesterday, no issues... stupid honda OEM clearances from car to car vary.

FWIW, I've installed so many of these and yet I have only had to do minor trimming on one.

And... I had 2 different sets mailed to me... Had every 8th Gen owner in the local area look at it, and everyone said the same thing... W.T.F... It's just the way our cars are made... we're "special"

^exactly, it's the cars, the variance of the shifter measurements are HUGE (*well at least in engineering terms).

Either have to grind down the shift assembly or grind down the C brackets... which... the shift assembly is easier with a dremel.

just make sure it is on all the way. i don't got corsport but with my SS i couldn't get my even number gears and turns out it wasn't in all the way when we thought it was. worse case is it is in all the way and you just take a file and file down that hole a bit. if thats the case filing is not that big of a deal

For me, I would have to file down 1/8 inch or more off my shift assembly... kinda scared about it.

i understand now, i wasn't blaming corsport, just saying i had a problem with the SS, i didn't read up on the part about having to dremel the plastic, that was my fault.

I had to grind part of mine down too. Only took a few minutes then it worked like a charm.

Yup, I just did one here last week and it took a few minuets, took out the grinder and went to work, it was nothing and I am nothing special when working on cars.

It is not like you are damaging the car in anyway that would be dishonest to someone if you sold it and did not tell them, its nothing, james did it last night with a metal file.

So when the Short shifter is on the ball knuckle thing, and its rubbing against the outer plastic and the shift assembly (hole under the shifter), then its not in all the way right? What would you recommend to do Tai/Remy? Hammer in the SS, Grind the inner Short shifter, or grind the plastic/shift assembly?

grind the plastic/shift assembly is what we do.
