Question Ummm help...Corsport cable bushings

So I installed the corsport ss and the cable bushings about two weeks ago. Well, a few days ago I went to put my car in reverse, wouldn't go. So I pushed the car back and started driving. Go to shift to 2nd, not happening, same with 4th and 6th. So I went back home opened the hood and seen this:

WHAT DO I DO!!!

I had the exact same situation about a year ago. You have to replace shifter cables. I think a few guys on this forum done the same. There is no really simple fix to it. Sorry bro

hmm you don't think I could put a hose clamp around it where it separated? The cable itself is fine, it's just that housing it goes in.

Yup, you cannot man-handle the cables during install -- and the clips in the pictures are the first thing you remove to do the install so you dont kink/bend the cables while removing the bushings, etc... You will have to replace the cables.

I learn it hard way. One guy tried to use zip tie but it will eventually break again.

You have to replace them. I payed 130 at the dealer and it took me 4 hours with no clue what to do and lots of breaks. If you don't replace them the cable will eventually snap and you will no longer be able to drive it at all. There should be a warning that tells customers this could happen.

I bought them from the local dealership... but collegehillshonda.com sells them much cheaper. I just didnt know about it at that time. Its not too hard to replace them but takes some time and patience. I dont think there is a DIY. If you are somewhat mechanically skilled, you can do it. But be careful not to breake it again. Good luck bro
