COBB Tuning Seeking BETA Testers Immediately [Thread merged]

*** UPDATE ***

We currently have a large enough pool to select our BETA testers from. We anticipate final BETA tester selection will be completed by early next week.

Thank you again for such a positive response!

COBB Tuning is seeking candidates to perform BETA testing for the 2006-2009 Honda Civic Si AccessPORT. BETA testing will require installation of a COBB AccessPORT on your 2006-2009 Honda Civic Si, frequent updates to AccessPORT firmware and maps, daily feedback regarding performance of revisions and the emailing of datalogs upon request (recorded via the onboard datalogging capability of the AccessPORT) throughout the entire BETA period. Additional requirements and details will be provided upon being approved for BETA testing.

Extensive BETA testing will be performed for this application to ensure performance and functionality goals are met. The duration of the BETA testing period is unspecified at this time. We are currently looking for candidates with the following modifications:

1. Stock configuration
2. AEM CAI only
3. AEM SRI only
4. DC Sports header and exhaust only
5. AEM CAI and DC Sports header and exhaust
6. AEM SRI and DC Sports header and exhaust

Candidates approved for BETA testing will receive a 40% discount off the MSRP of the AccessPORT. At the end of the BETA testing period, BETA testers will be given the option of keeping the AccessPORT at no additional expense, or returning the AccessPORT for a full refund within 14 days after the end of the BETA testing.

If you are willing to commit to the requirements of this BETA test and your vehicle conforms to one of the six modification configurations listed above, please email the following information to beta.honda@cobbtuning.com:

1. Full name
2. Billing address
3. Telephone number
4. Email address
5. Honda Forum Affiliation (i.e.-8thCivic, Honda-Tech, etc.)
6. Honda Forum Username
7. Civic Si model year
8. Which of the 6 modification configurations your Honda Civic Si is currently in
9. ALL other modifications that may or may not affect performance

Please note that we will be screening all BETA test applicants. Not all applicants will be accepted. Depending on the number of requests we receive, we may not be able to respond to every submission.

Geographic location of the BETA test is limited to within the United States.

Thanks,

Gary

Gary Sheehan

Almost tempting to remove my exhaust just to qualify. As an ex Subaru owner, I have to say it is pretty kick ass that Cobb is working on Tuning for the Si!

Not to mention theres a Cobb Tuning in the DFW Metroplex again.

I'm guessing you don't understand how this works. They give you an AccessPort, which they will probably require a deposit on. It will have a map on it they have setup. You will install it and it they will ask you to report back information, including datalogs from the accessport itself. Cobb people aren't beating the **** out of your car...

edit: clearly i wasnt the only one who wanted to respond to booYa's post, lol.

@ COBB - Any reason for citing those specific products to do tesitng with? Or is it 'ok' to just have some combination of intake/header/exhaust regardless of brand?

At this time, that is correct. These are the components we have chosen to BETA test with.

Thanks,

Gary does it matter what exhaust you have paired with the header?
