Hybrid racing shifter cable bushings

I just got a set of these the other day and it makes a huge difference. The shifter feels much more solid and precise. It makes a big difference when shifting. It also has a chrome plated bearing in it so it allows the cable to move naturally and won't snap the cable like other bushings. It goes perfectly with the Corsport short shifter I have. I would recommend these to anyone.

These bushings are fail. I could not get into 3rd with these at the track.

I had no problems until I installed them and none after I took them out.

Solid bushings aren't really the way to go period my friend. They're only for making the car feel like you have a direct connection to the tranny.

Taking them out makes shifts smooth and gives you less feel of the tranny through the stick.

And it's not the bushings fault you couldn't hit 3rd you loser.

Never Again!
I have had the Hybrid Racing bushings on for over a year now. Made a tremendous difference, especially in 2nd and 3rd gear. They worked even better when I installed a Mugen QS.

I think it also made a huge difference in 2nd and 3rd. It's a much more solid shift and these made the shifter feel a lot less sloppy. It also barely grinds at high rpms.

I totally agree with 04lxCivic. I have 2010 Honda Civic SI. I have the Corsport Short Shifter, Base Bushing, and Cable Bushings... Replaced the Corsport Cable Bushings with the Hybrid Racing Bushings.. I should have got these instead....

There is no way these bushings caused this. I started off with stock like everyone else then went to twm base bushings and cable. Then when hybrid released these bad boys with bearings in the center to allow a fluid movement i instantly noticed a difference. Each shift was clean and crisp with no problems getting in and out of gear.

There may have been something in the way when the hr bushings were installed that got moved slightly after they were taken out. There's nothing about the bushings that would allow them to make getting into 3rd difficult without seeing issues getting into say 1st or 5th too. I recently had to remove a CAI on an 8th gen and noticed that the shifter would pop out of 3rd after reinstalling the same CAI. Ended up the CAI was positioned a little off and was able to touch the shift fork in 3rd and 5th. Repositioning the CAI ever so slightly eliminated the issue.

Just ordered these! Can't wait to install them. Lately, I have been dissatisfied with my Si's shifting. I just had the tranny fluid replaced and that helped but it still feels messy. Ready for precise, solid shifting.

Installed these yesterday and this is a really simple mod. The stock bushings came out easy using a screwdriver to slightly pry. I did not remove the clip holding the cables to the transmission - no need. Hybrid's product fits perfect. The shifting is precise. I like the "Awesome Sauce" air freshener!

LOL. The "Awesome Sauce" was the icing on the cake for me. Great bunch of guys over at Hybrid. Will be looking more closely at their products. I got a follow up email from them. I was saying to myself "they do know I only ordered bushings not some expensive product, right?" Just top notch business right there.

The bushings really are awesome. I wasn't expecting much of a difference but it's definitely noticeable. Especially when you're bangin' it through the gears. Great stuff and the simple install was just an added bonus.

Thumbs up

First off this is my first post on the forum, so i wanted to comment on the only upgrade i've done so far...
I thought that the Corsport Solid Bushings would help me out and make the shifting feel smoother and more firm, but i was wrong, the shift was definitely firm, so firm that i couldn't put the damn thing in 3rd gear sometimes... even while the clutch was completely depressed. Trust me for a while i lost faith in my driving skills, but i had a few other people drive my car and they had the same problem.... I happen to acquire a set of the Hybrid Racing Shifter bushings and they made a world of difference as far as shift feeling goes....I'm pretty sure it has a lot to do with the bigger bushing having the spherical bearing, that allows some play. Trust me when i say that you will waste your money when you by completely solid bushings....

Way to go russ. I said it before and I'll say it again, and I'm sure I speak for everyone. Great effing job for designing such a BA set of cable bushings that actually work lol.

These look nice...Was planning on going with the Corsport ones, but I think I'm going to go with these instead. Anyone get the base bushings too?

If I were You I would. Nothing specially designed about the base bushings, they do help a ton. But they do look sexy, until you put your center console back together lol.

I've had them since August and they are great. I replaced my twm bushings with these as the hybrid have some rotation allowing proper movement.

i've gotten both the shifter base bushings and the shifter cable bushings, they work great. I didn't think that the base bushings would make a difference in shifter feel, but they definitely do
