anyone like the Honda Prelude 97-01 > Civic Si; FG2 or FA5?

anyone like them better? the si obviously has some better features, but the lude was such a great car....i had mine for 60k miles (approx) & the only thing i ever did to it was replace the O2 sensor under warranty.
i love my si, but i really do miss the prelude....it's been one of my favorite looking cars on the road (w/in a reasonable price range) since the 5th gens were released in '97.

i wish i could go back to 2001, but a new Prem. White Pearl SH &

I love my Si, but I always notice Preludes when I see them on the road.

Prelude has it beat hands down when it comes to styling and the Type SH handles better.

However, the car as a whole doesn't have the practicality of the Si (especially the sedan) for a car of its size and weight.

If that car was still for sale brand new I'd buy it no doubt over this car.

my 01 electron blue pearl prelude was literally in 100% mint condition when i sold it... right around 60k miles, 5spd, oem kit, oem spoiler, jdm fog lights, panasonic mp3 player....i traded it in at a Jeep dealership & the thing sold before I even finaliezed the trade in/buy.

i miss that thing, just not the color.

not me, I like the SI a lot more than the prelude SH. The prelude was alright for its time, but it was way too heavy and big. And the ATTS was a joke, all that R&D for something that never really worked. Glad they killed it.

IMO ITR>FG2>RSX-S>Prelude SH

I had a '97 prelude sh with 100K miles, still ran like a champ! I sold it to a guy at work so that I could buy a new Si. Very happy with the Si, but sometimes I miss the 'lude!

ludes a legend

Si = Honda's commercial money making pu$ification of a heritage.

looking at most lude ex owners here.... what I claim abt the Si seems true.

the prelude was a nice car at the time but it's over 10 years old now. cars have improved a lot during that time. i don't think i go go back to one after the si.
