aftermarket horns (2008 si)

sorry if this thread is in the wrong place, but i kno the horn placement is different at least for an 08 si. ive seen the DIY for an 06 and the horn is on the right side, but i kno for sure my horn is on the left...or theres 2 of them...one on each side...not too sure. i was wondering if theres a DIY for an 08 si?

and if you cant tell...im newb

btw...i bought hella supertones (118db) and i want them in asap.

I need to replace my horn soon. I did not think it was as bad as people said with my 07 I got an 08 and it sounds horrible (maybe it is in a dif location?), i just make sure I dont press the lock button twice so I dont have to hear it

Why would anyone want to get rid of the distinctive "honda horn"?

Honk at women honda owners with it, and you get their attention instantly.
Then you share a laugh, invite them back to your place for sexy time, and all is right in the world...

That's my experience anyway

If you have never heard Hella Supertones... you are in for a REAL treat.... I hope I can get mine installed (along with my intake, sway bar, sway bar reinforcements and new wheels) soon... I just have not had the wrench time I need.

I would love to figure out a way to rig one of those freight train horns up to my car. I have seen like 2 people that had it around town.

the 08 si horn sounds so ***... its sooo high pitched, i dont like it.

edit: its good cuz u can hear it far away because its high pitched, but when your close up to it, it doesnt sound masculine enough. least to me

08 Si has 2 horns place in each corner. You can buy Accord, TL or TSX horns to replace.
I've installed a 118 dB Wolo Badboy in one side and unplugged the other side.

DIY - Replace your factory horn with 118db "Bad Boy" (39 pics)

A member from here TigerDave has done a very good DIY so you can take a look on the link above.
The only different from my 08 is I had to disconnect and tape the wire of the other horn.
Otherwise, you are gonna have 2 tone + 1 lol.
Good luck.

Why the fack would Honda double up on the horrible stock horn for '08? I have an '07 & just replaced mine with one from the Fit which was a direct swap.

So you can have 2 tones which come from TL or TSX though

There was only one on my '07. I'm very happy with the Fit horn.
