Have your parents PM me. I will explain to them that the only way they should get you a sporty, fast car at 17 is if they want you dead within the year. New drivers make lots of stupid mistakes (we all do, especailly new male drivers) Its better to make your mistakes in a cheap slow car. Less chance to die. Less chance you will get involved in a race. Less cost when you wrap it around a tree.
Be smart. Start slow and learn to drive at resonable speeds before you get a fast car. (and don't give us any BS about not driving fast. We all do it) |

My first car was a brand new 1989 Mustang GT back then when I was 16 that my parents bought for me, but I took very good care of that ride as I still do with my rides today. On the other hand if someone is an idiot driver at 16, the chances are they might just remain idiot drivers for life. I dunno.
