Totally not true...I haven't gotten in an accident or pulled over (knock on wood)..and am about to spoil myself on an Si....coming in july. But kid I guess get the Si but I would recomend driving around a 5 or 6 grand car for a couple of years before getting a expensive car...you will appreciate a new car a lot more.

I have a questions I'd like to ask before making myself look like a fool at the dealer. Am I able to buy an SI without the wheels, headlights, and other small parts? I was thinking, since Im gonna change them anyways, why get them? I highly doubt I can do that though.

How would you take delivery on a car with no wheels?

I was thinking of buying the set of wheels and putting them together at the dealer or wherever the car's coming from.

No offense, but from this question you haven't talked this whole process over much with your parents. Anyone who can fork over $30k for a car for their kid obviously has done something right in life as far as making money and should be pretty savy. Let your parents go with you as you negotiate. It'll be a good learning experience for you.

No but im just trying to save as much money as I can for my parents. However, I will be talking to them soon about my thoughts, and see what they think. As of now, if I plan on buying aftermarket parts, will people still buy the stock parts (ie wheels, headlights)?

Arent you the same person who said that you will slowly pay your parents back and pay your insurance? Amazing how you have all that money to pay back but youre still looking to mod the sh*t out of your mom and dads new car, no not your car because technically THEY bought it and OWN it. Get your priorities straight kid, if you have so much money to throw around buy the car for yourself, I doubt that sounds like a good idea to you

i did not read all the posts but I read im 17 and new to ... Yea a 350z is a great car to start out in.(sarcasm)...

Its like bikes.. why jump on a 1300 for a 1st time exp.. (no im not one of those ohh u should start out in a 250 bike person)

learn to drive save ure life/car and others lives/cars .. But if u insist on gettin the 350 Z and don't think u will ever get into an accident then go for it.

as far as buying the si with out wheels and all that.. Im assuming you mean with out the HFP kit.. Yes you can demand that you don't want any factory mods. and for the headlights?? WTF.. no you need those off the lot. unless you got the 1500+ bucks to do a retro fit HID setup right away.

in all honesty dude you need some Just curious are you going for the HRP colour? if so you are doomed..

Thanks. Nah im not gonna go HRP -- Ill most likely be getting NBP. Anyways, are there going to be changes for 2007 SI? I heard rumors that they're going to add 25% more HP or something. At least I hope there's some interior change.

Where did you hear that they are going to add 25% more HP? That's almost as ridiculous as "rediculous". :gaygiggle Supposedly, stability control will be added. Interior changes are unlikely. Question... what interior changes are you hoping for? You'll be lucky to get your hands on an Si, let alone be able to ask for a certain colour.

Good luck with that.

I know guys I know. Id be lucky enough just to sit in the SI's passenger sear and hear the V-TEC roar. God ever since I saw some pictures of really tight SIs, my heart's been thumping and thumping and thumping. Don't think I have ever gotten this feeling when I surfed through the 350z forum.

the si interior is bad ass. All you need is a lint brush and it's cool. 350z's are sweet, but heavy and gas sucks, like what has been stated above. Si's are more uncommon than 350z's. Plus i see a bunch of old dell employee's rocking them around here, with bike racks! Suck! Si all the way!
