passenger side speaker problems
I just bought a new 08 Si a little over a month ago. I play all my music off of an ipod connected with an audio cord. I noticed that every once and a while the sound coming out of the front passenger side speaker sounds distorted.
I'm almost positive that this is not connected to the ipod or the music quality. I think it is a problem with the speaker. I was just curious if anyone has experienced a similar problem or knew why this was happening before I bring the car in to be looked at by the dealership. |

do some basic checks first...
if you use the ipod mainly, try playing a cd and see if it's still distorted. if it is not distorted with the cd, then your connecting cable is either bad or it's not making a connection. i know i have a silicone skin on my ipod, and the opening for the headphone jack is slightly too small, so it will pop out a little and make one channel really distorted. play some cds just to be sure. if it is still distorted with cds, then your connection may be loose or have some water in it, take it to the dealer and they should cover it. |
