reminder chime for moonroof would be awesome

why cant car companys create a system where if the moonroof is open and the car is off there is a chime or something. i dont know how many times i've got up at 3 a.m to run out to make sure i closed mine.of course its allways raining when the bulb goes off in my head. an open moonroof plus heavy rain is not fun. there's a chime if i leave my keys in the ingnition or the lights on, wtf how about one for an open moonroof! rant over thanks!

Or just look up slightly and look, how hard is that? Auto manufactures can't do everything to help stupid people.

thats a good idea. but you only have to leave it open once when it rains and youll NEVER leave it open again. i left mine open once and went inside and fell asleep. i woke up to the noise of the 'emergency broadcast system' on the tv and pounding rain. i ran outside and the inside of my car was soaked. since that day remembering to close my sunroof has not been a problem. the only good part of this story is that this happened with my old car, not my fg2!

I have thought the same thing ever since i got my Si. That would be awesome. The same chime that goes when you leave your headlights on.

when you lock your car, and the moonroof is open, does the car still honk after you press the lock button twice? i know that it won't do that if the trunk is open.

Agreed, more often if I leave it cracked, I'll forget to close it. It usually isn't a problem but I've forgotten once. Thankfully it didn't rain or anything but it easily could have. It's especially bad for me because sometimes I'll crack the moonroof, but then close the visor thing a bit because the sun is baring down on my face. Not all the way ofc (why would I open it then close the shade? lol) but about halfway. Well, I'll get out and just not think about it, and even though it's open it's not immediately apparent. Anyway, I'd be in on this.

I've left it completely open during the winter, came back to my car at 2AM, and shivered for the 30 minute drive home, even with the heater warming my toesies.

A chime would be redundant, but at the same time, I can't help but think a warning light would be somewhat useful. I mean, the Ridgeline has a light that says "Back Window Open".

I think our car has enough chimes and buzzers. The light as mentioned would be a good idea

Put a post it note next to your door handle to remind you to look up.

After a week or two it should become a habit.

i wish i could be as smart as some people. why didn't i think of looking up first? oh yea now i remember, i often drive with the roof open and windows up as i have 5% tint and dont want anybody looking in at me, yet i like the fresh air. i get distracted and get out and forget to close it. i haven't had a problem with this car,but i left it open with my last and it friggin poured. i was just saying it would be a cool idea. it only takes once to do some bad damage.

What would be nice would be a way to have ALL the windows and the sunroof close followed by the car locking when you pushed the lock button on the remote. Or perhaps some cobinantion of presses like 2 short presses and 1 long hold followed by a confirmation beep of the horn. My family hauler is a Toyota Sienna and I wish there was a way to be able to hit a couple of buttons and walk away with the car closing the power doors and then locking itself. Instead, you have to sit there and wait for the doors to close and then hit the lock button...Totally ****ing annoying. I though there was a manufacturer who had a system like this tied into the remote...perhaps it was VW. Maybe someone else here knows.

You have a point, but at the same time, it is hard to feel sorry for a guy that can't even remember to look up before locking up and walking off... I mean, you remember to wipe right? That requires hand eye coordination, arm/hand movement, and also eyes to detect an insufficient wipe, followed by a brain to decide whether or not a repeat is necessary.

Now looking up doesn't seem that hard does it?
