OK, it just rained.. anddd..

I'm worried about Hydro locking.. I checked the filter.. it's slightly went in like a 1 inch x 1 inch area and the rest is dry. Will that effect anything? The filter was never completely submerged or anything.. but I'm worried that water particle will get into the cylinders. Am I worry too much or what? The engine seems fine while running.

Doesn't sound like anything bad happened. A little water particles "ie vapor" can in some case be beneficial to an engine.

If you are worried I'd get a hydroshield which will help some but certainly can't prevent hydrolock.

If you are really worried about it I'd look for a different setup. Lots of people have never had issues with their CAI in the wet but when I was driving around during wet weather it was always in the back of my mind and I would hardcore avoid puddles. With my current intake I don't have to worry about it both technically and psychologically.

Like I said.. it RARELY got wet. I was just hoping it didn't suck in those particles.. but if it helps the engine, then all the better, haha

next time that happen, pull over immidiately then let it sit for few mins. OR if you have to keep driving, dont gun over 4000rpm or so.

This is true, because both air filter elements and exterior paint are equally resistant to water.

as long as you dont drive through huge puddles or 1+ feet of water you shold be fine. the filter would have to be almost fully submerged in water to be able to suck it up to the engine.

Anyways, that water didn't affect anything... I raced against a Civic Si Sedan with SRI, headers, exhaust, and Hondata reflash and we both ran 14.1's.

So performance is obviously not effected.
