the actual tire pressure sensor is located in the wheel behind the valve(place where u put air in)

Rotating your tires will not do any damage to this part, unless you do something insanely stupid.

Recommended tire rotation is every other oil change or a good 6-7k miles.

never had a problem with discount tire with OEM wheels here... They do it for free when its stock tires too. Can't beat that.

You could do it yourself without any issues... TPMS is a unit within each tire (x4), located at the base of the valve stem. So as long as you don't tug at it or something, you'll be fine.

Tire rotation

Rotating your tires will do NOTHING to damage air pressure sensors. Rotating your tires is extremely important and should be done between 6k or 7k miles. As far as the rotation pattern goes, you should cross the free-rolling axle. So for your car (since it's front wheel drive), RR goes to LF, LR goes to RF, LF goes to LR, and RF goes to RR.

If they're directional, just move the fronts to the rears, don't cross them.
