Honda service department

I know with all the experiences everyone is having with Honda service department most have been negative. Well I just wanted to let everyone know that the one in South Caroline is top notch! When I purchased my 06 in March of this year I notice the third gear problem. I made an appointment at my local Honda Service depart in Greer, SC to have it checked out. They replaced the MTF and let me know there should be a fix coming soon. They also said I would most likely know before about the fix before them. Well I made an appointment today to have the motor oil changed to Amsoil and the third gear issue fixed. Well I am happy to say the motor oil was changed today and the parts are being ordered for the transmission. This service department is one of the best I have experienced. They are there for the customer to make sure their ride stays to notch.

Great...My SI has been in the shop since Monday!! Waiting on parts that are on "backorder' that I knew were....I said DO you have these parts in stock...Yes yes yes...No problem just make your appointment. Granted I walked in and said I need a new 3rd gearset and they said ok. But even still I am without my civic since Monday..

I was worried that they were going to keep mine. I do not know if I could go that long with out my car. Luckly they are going to call me when they have the parts.

Hope the gear replacement helps. I'm skeptical that it will unless there is something different about the replacement parts but hopefully my skepticism will prove unfounded and you will find that the problem is resolved. Thankfully I have had no problem with third gear unless my timing is off a little, but that's my own user error when the occasional miss takes place.
