Creaking Noise in my 08 Si Coupe... Driving me crazy!

My less than a week old 08 Si Coupe makes a creaking noise on the passenger side near the windshield. It's prevalent at all times going over bumps, and you can hear it definitely at low speeds when the engine/exhaust noise is least. I originally thought it was my overstuffed glove compartment that was making the creaking, but its not. Emptied it out and it creaks. It is driving me crazy.

Is this something valid that I should bring in to service and have them fix, or is this one of those things that come with the Honda territory? I can understand maybe 5 years down the road nearing 100,000 miles... but c'mon, less than a week with 350 miles?

Even with the radio on I can still hear it and it's driving me absolutely up a wall. Should I have this checked-out?

My 07 LX Coupe I traded-in did not make any noise whatsoever

Thank you guys

Both my visors creak and rattle. Also my sunroof creaks. It's the rubber seal around it if I even just touch the sunroof it will make noise. I don't hear it if I have the shade closed. I only have 5000km on my car. You have to remember that this is basically a base civic with a nice drivetrain in it. It's a cheaply made car and the quality of materials is poor.

Understood, but I traded-in my 07 LX Coupe for my SI and my LX Coupe didn't make a peep.

Apparently, there has been a lot of these cases so far with the front windshield creaking and Honda does not know how to fix it apparently...

Weird. My windshield doesn't make a noise but the visors sure do. Just play with the visors a little and see if the creaking is coming from them. Small movements make them creak the most.

I remember seeing solutions for the sunroof creaking... something like lube... not quite sure... if it rly bothers you try a quick search

I find if I move my visors up and down over and over again it gets rid the creak for a little while.

Cool I found it, I was planning on using some silicone lube on the seal so now this just confirms it. Thanks

I've actually noticed this in my car as well. It happened after I took great care in cleaning the interior. I've had my Si coupe for almost a year now (w/ 15k miles) and it just started...

I've had this happen too,on again off again the noise comes from the dash. You know your dealership is full or idiots when they don't know how to fix a rattle in the back. It's pretty pathetic that we (owners) are forced to find solutions to fix the problems, whereas the dealer and Honda doesn't know or they just don't care about fixing the problems. Then what the hell is a warranty for?

I think a lot of it is the suspension. It's harsh so it works things loose and little bumps make things rattle

My dash creaks when going over small bumps. it annoys the crap out of me. Ive owned many other cars that were much older, even 2 Fords, but none of them made this much racket going over the smallest bumps.

You may have the same thing I have. I am bringing mine in to the dealership on Thursday to have them take a look. My service manager said that the Honda Odyssey had a creaking problem with the windshield and the cowl. I am printing out the threads from the links below for reference to give to my Honda Dealer so they know I"m not going crazy:

[Squeaks] Dashboard squeak noise :-( - Page 15 - Civinfo

How To - Fix The Windscreen Cowl creaks. - Page 2 - Civinfo

[Windscreen] Creaking windscreen ?? - Civinfo

They have a DIY method of fixing it, but some how I feel that may be a temporary fix, but so far so good with some of the members that did it. I just want the Honda Dealership to have a 100% guaranteed permanent fix for it before I start the DIY method.
