Si '09 should use 'White Diamond Pearl' instead of 'Prem. White Pearl'

I am kind of regretting the fact that I bought an '08 w/ the rumor of the '09 having Pearl White as a color option.. I just hope they use White Diamond Pearl (from the 97/98 Preludes) instead of the Premium White Pearl (which, imo, is too much of a luxury/cream color for a Civic). I think White Diamond Pearl is the best color Honda has ever released & I may do a trade (possibly) if they use that or something similar. It's a BRIGHT Metallic White color & would look awesome on the Si imo.

I'm really anxious to see how these '09's will look different than the '08 - all the rumors make it seem like a definite improvement.

If I do trade, I may switch over to the FG2 as well....just so it's different

i'm waiting to see how the colors look as well because i'm looking to switch over to an fa5 for the 2 extra doors. i'm going to wait and if i like the 08s better than the 09s, they should be a lil cheaper due to the mmc.

it's a pearl color not metallic... i'm sure it's confusing but u even said it urself and any1 who knows paint/colors can tell the distinct difference between metallics and pearls...

pearls have different shades/tones in different lights... while metallics just reflect the light...

with that said... pearl white would look really good... that's the only reason why i got FBP... if they had a Pearl white instead of TW i would be bizzybearwhitediamondpearl instead...

A buddy of mine painted his 95 Impala SS White Diamond Pearl. He called it "cocaine white". Yeah, that dude was ghetto.

not only is that *** regardless, but its stupid seeing as how any powdered drug varies in color (mostly due to the cut).. it can be anywhere from bright white to light brown..

i was just talking about this with my fiance... she has a pearl white mazda 3 and i have a TW Si... her paint looks better when it;s shinny..

i'd get my painted the 350z white.. very nice

You are going to lose lots, and lots of money unless you put a large amount of money down and got a great deal on your 08 to trade out of a one year old car. I got my 07 SI for $1,000 under invoice plus I put an additional $3,000 down which is the only reason I could even dream about getting rid of my car in such a short period of time. However if you were not so lucky and you have any negative equity, trading out just for a new color would be really dumb.

Not my money, but I'm just saying...

I paid $495 above invoice (ordered it), however, put $4k down....so we're in the same boat.

Cool! So you'll probably get what you still owe on the car, which is perfect. It's gravy if you can get more than you owe on the car, but breaking even is fine too. Negative equity however is a big, no no.

Not a fan of white cars myself (even though my current SI sedan is white) but whatever floats your boat. Not sure why we needed another white, as there is nothing wrong with the current white if white is your thing. My girlfriend thinks it's "pretty," although I'm not sure if that's a good thing. Having a "pretty" car wasn't exactly what I was shooting for.

I can't hardly believe that. You would trade your car in and lose up to several thousand dollars just to have a pearl white?!?! For real?

I'll admit one of the reasons I got NBP was cause I loved my NBP prelude at dusk when I had just cleaned it up. I also thought about it and figured the one color that they probably will never drop is NBP (93 lude was NBP and 08 Si is NBP), but to trade your car just for the color... that's a bit ridiculous IMO.
