All 2008 Si With 3rd Gear or Any Tranny Problems Here - Page 2

08 civic si sedan

800 miles and NO 3rd gear grind or pop up, all gears engage quite smoothly. The rev hang is there but am quite used to it.

AFAIK, there's not an ECU update out for the 2008 Si's. Also I have ~4200 miles on my car and no transmissions problems yet.

06-08 all have the same motor and tranny. There's nothing special about the newer engines. The only thing is the "updated" tranny fluid. No need to make a seperate thread.

Zeuceone, I said that I'm making this thread because all my local dealers are telling me that the MY08s are fine.

i think someone at honda got lazy when they were making parts lol

tahts why everything is like, so erratic. some have rev, some have nothing, some have 3rd gear, etc

As for the rev hang, I think all of them have it, some people just think it's worse than others.
