Let the GF drive the Si...
...and she was like
![]() Stated it was way more responsive than her Civic is lots of fun to drive. She was really nervous to drive it and I had to use intense peer pressure to get her behind the wheel but she had lots of fun. Gonna take her autocrossing this spring to let her open it up a bit. She thought the engine would blow up past 6K Rpms, lol, just told her to take it to 8K. She's not used to vtec, time to get her broken in. |

My fiancee drives my Si all the time. She loves it. I dont mind letting her have it whenever Im not using it. Besides those are the two most important ladies in my life. Gotta have them be friends haha. But yea she doesnt like taking it above 6k...keeps thinking its putting unwanted wear/tear on the engine but I keep insisting you can go to 8k without hurting the engine at all lol. Shes just used to her Sentra Spec-V which doesnt redline anywhere near that lol.

I too used to let my GF drive my RSX-S. In fact, it was her DD for a month or so when I was selling it (to keep the miles off). I trust her just fine to drive it as she knows how to handle the stick very well (and she can drive a manual transmission too!).
She was afraid to take it into the upper RPMs tho cause she didn't want to mis-shift and wasn't used to shifting at such high RPMs. I didn't push the issue with her cause if she wasn't comfortable doing it, then she shouldn't have to do it... (except PIITB?) ![]() LOL what a perv I am today.' Anyway, when I get my Si I'm gonna let her drive me around all the time. She likes driving stick and likes driving "sporty" cars... why not?! |

I would never let any of the women in my life drive my cars, including my ex-wife and my current girlfriend. Whenever we go somewhere together I drive, period. If I'm not in the car no way I'm going to let them take my car out alone. My current girlfriend does not know how to drive a manual transmission and has no desire to learn. She's such a bad driver anyway, that all she needs to worry about is turning the steering wheel, and pressing on the throttle pedal or brake pedal when appropriate. She doesn't need any additional complexity behind the wheel.
Women drivers... a few good ones, most of them stink. |
