Driving across the country in my Si sedan (pics)
I live in central PA and decided to take a road trip in my 07 Si sedan. I've gone south to the Florida Keys and I am now going west across the south eventually to California and Las Vegas. Here's some pics of my car along the way. Any comments or suggested stops along the way would be cool.

Looks like you like to drive. That bra will save you some paint chips and collect bugs along your journey. I like the untinted windows. Nice rack. Enjoy the ride.

Yeah i'm trying to save the front end as much as possible so the car is still nice for when I eventually stop driving. I've got a few friends and family stops along the way which has been a nice break from driving, but on the other days I generally camp to keep expenses to a minimum. The roof box is loaded mostly with camping and biking gear, as well as a bunch of the stuff I own because I'm planning an extended stay / moving to Las Vegas for awhile.
sorry the pic is a little blurry ![]() Last edited by thomascrown; 04-20-2008 at 02:01 PM. |

Bra would be nice for the stone chips that I have already collected on the hood.
Have you noticed if the yakima rack has left your paint f'ed up where the pads of the roof carrier are? I was thinking of getting one for skis and bike, then i realized that my bike fits nicely in the trunk. and that i can fit two mountain bikes in the trunk with the wheels all in the trunk |

Ahhh, brings back memories. Everyone should do a cross-country roadtrip at least once in their lives. I did mine about 10 years ago with a couple of buddies in a Taurus SHO. We did a counterclockwise loop around the country starting in NY which took us about 4 or 5 weeks.
Definitely keep the pics coming. It would be cool to see your Si at various landmarks and points of interest along your route. Take lots of pics and try to keep a journal, too. It will help years later when you try to remember all the places you visited and things you did. Enjoy your trip. Now, I've got to go find my box of photos from my trip hidden away in my attic my somewhere...thanks. |

I took mine to Dallas/Fort Worth Texas from Upstate NY last winter. I'm making my second trip to the Outter Banks of North Carolina, in February. I take my family (we have two sons 11 & 13). I think the Si sedan is a great road trip car. The suspension seems softer when it's carrying a family of four. :)
