I Need To Convince My Parents...

So my family needs a new car and I've done all my research and basically sold the idea of getting an Si (which I will be driving )

But..

My mom is a bit hesitant to get a manual and to get the coupe. I've been wanting to drive a manual car forever and I like the looks of the coupe 392343 times more.

So..

What are some good arguments to get a manual + coupe?

There are no real "good" arguments for the coupe, other than aesthetics. Seriously. The sedan has more utility, and has more rear headroom.

I do believe that e60.deluxe felt there was more headroom in the coupe on the front seats. So, if you're tall...

Still, coupe is better. =P

Solution = Compromise -> let her have 4drs (SI comes in sedan) / You get to drive a Stick (and its AN SI!!!).

Put a TWM counter-sunk/weighted knob on it, and yes...yes it is!

Sedans have a sexy back end. Coupes, not as much, but it's still sexier overall. I say compromise as well.

Scientific research has proven that over 4 years of ownership that those individuals that had driven a manual unstead of an automatic transmission had a 10 percent improvement in cognitive ability.

Yeah, great exercise! Manuals are the Wii of the automotive world -more interactive and fun!!

Not to mention it's easier to get a non navi Si than a Nintendo Wii

settle for the sedan if it means getting an Si!

manuals are cheaper, simpler to repair, more fun, and get better mileage!

Manual teaches you how to actually drive a car. Coupe keeps your car from being the party wagon, which means less distractions. I agree with above, better a sedan SI than a coupe EX or something.

I felt the same way about the coupe, but the practicality of the sedan won me over! In the end, the differences are a measly 50 extra pounds, more convenience and more comfort for passengers

manual = more to do while driving = more concentration = safter driving.
coupe = less people to cart around = less distractions = safer driving.

basically, if she gets you an automatic corolla, your'e gonna go off a cliff and die.
