Civic SI window tint Question

Hey guys,
I jsut got my windows tinted about 4 days ago and last night I took my friends for a ride, told them not to roll my windows down, and one did anyway. Now there are some white streaks on my window. Will they phade away or did he ruin my new tint?

the streaks are prob from the window rollers. they always there especially on newer cars. u just can see them better now with your windows tinted.

you should lock your windows so your dumb friends don't ruin your tint

After getting windows tinted you're not supposed to use your windows for 3-4 days so it adheres properly. I got mine tinted in winter so I knew I wouldn't need to put my windows down as well as the shop that tinted my windows put warning stickers on my window switches.

Yeah, this is my first tinted car, and I was freaked out when my friend did it. Washed right off though. As long as you have had the tint for a few days, you should be fine.

I took my fuses out. There was one for each window.

I couldn't even trust myself.

Depends on location, weather, type of film installed, and how well the installer squeegees.

In the summer when I install Global QDP it's 24 hours. In the winter if I install a full metal film like Global Fushion HP, HanitaTEK Solar Steel, or LLumar Platinum Plus it can be a week! If I install a 6 mil or 8 mil security film it can be even longer.

Without a picture I can't tell if the white streaks are just dirt or if you shifted the film.

I'm guessing since you said streak and not "white bubble" or "white finger" it's just dirt.

Also, some civic owners are reporting a problem that every time they roll their window down it makes dirt streaks on the window. It's a problem the dealer has to fix (the tinter DIDN'T do it).

Got mine tinted today, makes the car look awesome. If the streaks don't fade on thier own, I'm sure who ever did the tint can fix it. I blue taped both passenger side and driverside switches along with the window lockout.

After rolling my windows down a week after getting the windows tinted, I had similiar streaks. I washed them off and they re-appeared. I just kept washing (about 4 times) and then the streaks went away all together.
