I think it's worth it just for the feel.

Just installed mine today after it sat around for a few days. I wish I would have done it sooner. The best way I've thought of to describe it is this: The shifter now feels like it SHOULD. The short shift now matches the short gears. The entire driving experience has changed! It's so much more of a pleasure to drive now. AN ADDITIONAL WORD OF CAUTION! When removing the plastic piece, don't let it fall into the console..it was so frustrating to get out. I had to remove the whole damn thing ARRRGHHH!!!. It would have taken 5 minutes but instead took half an hour. Oh well it was definately worth it! AMAZING!!

So is someone going to try it out on the DX/LX/EX? I'd love to hear how it goes...

I ordered mine directly from Comptech on their website. Once again, I'd like to reiterate the fact that you simply must PURCHASE THIS SHORT SHIFTER. If you regret it in any way you can kick me where the sun doesn't shine. However, if you simply love it, can't get enough of it, obsess about driving after this mod, and cannot wait to rally through the gears everytime you drive your si, you can wire me 5 bucks via paypal.

Every time I've gotten in my car and turned it on, and shifted into neutral to let the car warm up I've been greeted by a nice surprise. My perfect short shifter. I can't get enough of the damn thing. It seriously gives my Si a whole different persona. The shifter is like a precision-engineered tool now. Shifts are razor sharp and lightning quick. There are just no words to describe how sexy this mod is. I think I'm in love with Comptech. Where's my damn supercharger!

Check Home Depot if you have one nearby. ~$50 for a Husky 1/2" torque wrench. I don't know if they carry 3/8" though.
