For a long time I pretty much figured I was a noob(maybe I still am) for not being able to shift properly. It's especially embarassing when your friends are on board all excited and they ask you to do the obligatory iVTEC pull and you grind/misshift. Definitely going to call the dealer tomorrow and see if they try to spin it on me.
I asked this earlier and I'll ask again: Are you experiencing grinding regardless of RPM? I find that it will almost always grind if I shift too soon, and almost never if I shift too late. I'm also very careful to notice if it's not completely engaged, so I've never had it "pop out." The symptoms are almost like the synchros aren't doing their job.

Is this the same thing you're experiencing, or a milder imitation of it?

I was also starting to wonder that as well. If I over rev the engine, it does grab. It is most definitely the syncros. Let's see what happens when they are replaced.

Well it's been about two weeks since my tranny was worked on. They replaced the second and third syncros.

No more notchyness to report. Looks like this is the fix boys and girls.

I'm happy mine was fixed.
