wheels ----> back to stock for winter?

i have 18" RPM2s with nitto neogens on my FG2 now... im really reluctant to go back to my stockers for winter because... well the RPM2s are just so damn hot... and the neogens are obvioulsy alot better than the hxmx4s

im pissed because the snow/salt has started early this year in New Jersey.. i thought id have til the end of december without any salt but i was wrong on that one

i dont make long commutes or get destroyed completly by salt, so my question is this: will a little salt that's wiped off periodically (and with washings as often as possible) damage my wheels? I mean i dont want to just put off going back to stock until winter is over... but then im wondering if i should even bother changing back to stock at all? The neogens are all seasons so im safe with the rubber temperature

and ive also waxed them once with liquid and once with spray since october... and i was planning on another very detailed wheel wax this saturday so i could keep them on maybe another week... will a good waxing protect them enough? or should i just play it safe and go back to the boring stockers?

however my dad brought up a good point... it'll change the look of my car again.... and then in spring when i put my RPM2s back on.. its like i bought brand new rims again, so that would be kinda cool... and i do think the stocks are nice

but besides the wheels situation... i reallly hate winter... NJ has been sucking lately, i just want to be able to detail my car and have it stay clean!! im falling into depression

change them, no point in possibly taking a chance of curbing a rim or bumps in the tires. around here pot holes will kill a nice wheel if your not careful

If I had nice rims I would change them for the winter. I'd also think about what tires you have on your 18's. If they are summer/performance tires, have fun getting around in the snow! haha

BTW... Driving in this crazy storm we are having in MA today was nuts!
