Idle Si for 3 weeks

I'm putting my car in Storage for 3 weeks while I go for my vacation. What should I do to keep the battery from draining out or will 3 weeks be fine?

It should be fine for just 3 weeks. If you do have any problems, the worst would be a dead battery.

don't worry about it. i did it already i just left it in there with my alarm on for 3weeks. then came back my alarm remote is dead (no more batt.) it the viper alarm. replace the battery unlock the car, start it up, warm it up to the correct temp, cruise for a bit, hit the freeway VVVVTEC... you be fine.

3 weeks should be no problem. I left my car untouched for one month and my battery is still in great working condition.

You'll be fine. I've left my old Eclipse for just over 5 weeks, with the alarm active) years ago when I had to go to Japan for business. Came back and it started right up. That was back in '95, and the Eclipse was only about 1 month old. Then while in Japan, I fell in love with the FTO and wished I could get one of those back in the states. This was well before I was a Honda guy.

One funny thing is that I had to "learn" how to shift again (it did come back within a few miles). When I first took off, I looked like someone driving a stick for the first time!

Yes, I did have a manual car, but that was way before my wife was ever around. Now it's automatics only!

When I was in Europe (almost a month) my Si sat the whole time. It started up with no problem. If you want to be extra careful, just remove the ground cable to the battery...
