VIS cf hood on my FA5? Hood Pins?

Hey all, I just installed the VIS oem cf hood on my 07 fa5. Do I really need hood pins for this hood ? How do you install them if I do need them? I searched the DIY, couldnt find anything.

I have not seen the pins used on the OEM version in most of the pics that I have seen. I don't think you need them but VIS puts a recommendation on there site to cover there but. Hoods have unlatched at speed or else they would not put the warning on the site. I don't know if that Warning is in the OEM hood, but it is on the custom styles.
