V-Tec Chip

Hi,

does anyone know if they make a V-Tec chip that provides more HP for the new 2007 Civic Si sedan's? I have a friend telling me they make chips that give 20-40 hp or more gains with a simple chip upgrade.

no. and dont fall for the crap your friend is telling you. its a ebay mod that is crap. if you ever come across somthing that says you will gain 20 hp for $20, its a scam.

Go to the bolt on section, there is a ton of general info there, you will have hours of entertaining threads to read.

Here are a few mods that have dyno proven results.

p2r throttle body spacer w/ gaskets- 3-5hp, 2-5ish tq $125.00ish
x's intake- 10-13hp, 5-7tq $300.00 for full kit
Race header 7-12hp 5-7tq? $350ish for DCRH
Exhaust 1-10HP ?tq $300+

Go with intake/header/exhaust/throttle body spacer/reflash for 200-210WHP. That will keep you busy.

There are no chip for our car, only reflash.

As it stands today there are no plug and play modules for the ECU, only a reflash by Hondata.

Even if there was a plug and play module, you're going to need more than just that to make any sort of real difference power wise.
