when shifting in vtec

i let off the gas, clutch to the floor, shift, and slam the gas to the floor as i'm letting the clutch out.

so it sounds like bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa *shift* BWAAAaaaaaaaaaa

the capital BWA after the shift indicating a much louder sound.

am i doing something wrong? or is it supposed to sound like that accelerating full throttle.

not sure what you mean, but maybe you're punching the gas too early while the clutch is coming out? so you get sort of a rev in "neutral"

You are making the clutch slip if you are punching the gas before having completly released the clutch pedal.

Bad for your clutch.

there should be an instant pitch change if your doing it right.
if it sounds like the engine is winding down to the lower RPMs your damaging your clutch.

There is a clutch life indicator on your factory radio if you push 212345 and then turn off your car and e-brake it at 134kmph.

lol sorry man, but you answered your own question with your question. The only way to see your clutch condition is to physically look at it. DO NOT try my clutch life indicator trick. But then again if you do, you are probably doing the world a favor.

does it sound like your dash is going to end up in your lap. it maybe your tires losing traction and while its spinning freely its the BAAAA part and then it grabs traction and is the aaaaaa part. mine sounds like that.

Put the car in 3rd gear froma stand still. Take off. If the car accelerates, then you still have a good clutch.

yeah i "think" it's me getting on the gas too soon. i've broken traction before so i know what you're talking about, it's not that. and it's not a jerky feeling either. just the sound. it's tough to time it right, cause if you let the clutch out too far without gas you get a jolt from the transmission. get on the gas too early and you get the BWWAAAwwaaaaaaa.

oh, but the good news is i accidentally started from 3rd gear at a stop light the other day and it went just fine, noticed what i did when i shifted to 4th thinking it was 2nd and went nooooo where.
