that shouldn't be the case. i specifically talked to my dealer when i bought the car and asked them specifically if any aftermarket parts would void warranty. the only thing they said was that if they could prove the aftermarket part caused a problem, then they wouldn't work on that specific part. so for example, you put an intake on there, and you start having problems with your engine, if they can prove it (the intake) was the reason for the failure, THEN you're screwed...
somebody correct me if i'm wrong. |

This has been discussed many times here. Check out my thread that I did on warranty issues and modifications: Aftermarket mods and Honda warranty / Will this void my warranty?
Bottom line is that the modification has to have a direct correlation to a problem with the car in order to affect the warranty. Thus, a cold air intake cannot be blamed for a leaking head gasket. |
