I use invisible glass to clean my inside windows, including the gages. I have never had an issue with it.

Did you sneeze while you were eating glue?

j/k - I would go to the dealer if you can't get it off. Maybe they can offer assistance. Maybe a detail shop can help?

Good luck.

"...and some other kind of spray to wash the glass inside and the rpm plastic." You probably don't want to do that.

If you can't get the marks out of the plastic, it's a relatively cheap part:
77222-SNA-A01ZA 44.60 retail.

And it's easy to swap. If you don't have the Helm Factory Service Manual you can get by with the XM Radio Install Instructions.

Luckily you didn't "treat" the speedometer to the same "cleaning." The part is cheaper:
77200-SNA-A01ZA 6.43 retail.

But swapping it is a pita. You'll end up needing to take off the audio panel as well so you can get to the instrument pad assembly, and you won't be able to pull the assembly apart without the KTC Trim Tool Set (or equivalent).

Be careful with cleaning supplies. That's why they usually say "test in an inconspicuous spot."

so easy to clean that up, wash the surface with the tissues that are wet by water. and clean it, then wipe it down with the dry towel or paper towel.

I had that same problem w/ mine too. I'll try some of the cleaning tips here first, but I'd find it hard to believe that 50/50 alcohol or just water and tissues will take off those spots when plexus, meguires plastx etc wouldn't.

Dealership replaced mine with no problem because it had a scratch upon delivery. You might be able to get them to replace if you dont tell them what you sprayed on it? also the other problems you have are all normal... Ive experienced them and they all went away before i hit 10k miles..

i think a scratch he'd be able to get away with, but this is something you would think he'd notice before he took delivery of the car

Im curious, what is this "some kind of spray" that you used on it?
It seems like it had some strong chemicals in it.

yea you got a point there.

Also to the OP, you can go to hondapartsdeals.com and just buy a new plastic piece and put it in, i dont think its too expensive.

Did you try vinegar and water? I know it's great and very safe for removing waterspots on the exterior.

Well it shouldn't be anything abrasive if its for leather and rubber.
Try mixing alcohol with some water, and wipe it. Vinegar stinks, dilute some and try that too.

Changing that cover will require good amount of work. Sure the part is cheap, but it may be troublesome doing the labour depending on your experience.
