Couple of questions for si owners

anyone ever get the indicator saying side airbag off (fg2)
its been going on and off

and my other question is sometimes when i turn my car on my car will eject my cd's

anyone else get those things?

never had a problem with these 2 things...always have a cd in and never had it ejected when i turn my car off
i did have a problem with the passenger airbag off one day, but i think it was because there was somebody in the car without the seatbelt or something like that, as soon as that was fixed the light was gone, it was weird

With the airbag light for the passenger, there was a recall for it to fix the sensor. Might have to search to find it. As far as the cd spitting radio.. I have no clue

There is a weight sensor in the passenger seat. If you have something in it that doesn't weigh very much, the light comes on. I think it's a child-safety thing.

I found if I lean against the seat back side, the side airbag light comes on. Picture trying to your wallet out of your pocket while sitting in the car, everytime I go to get my wallet out of my back pocket it happens.

If I place a "heavy enough" package/bag in the passenger seat, the light comes on. I have not experienced the issue with the CD's ejecting though. GOod luck.

that is probably the sensors showing that it wouldnt be optimal for the side airbag to go off in that position.

Its supposed to do that. The seat has positioning sensors that tell how you're sitting in the seat, and it disables the side or front airbags depending on how you're sitting. This is to prevent injury to someone sitting too close to the airbag when it went off. Imagine you're taking a nap in the passengers seat, and sleeping with your head against the door. The force of an airbag going off in a crash would probably be more at that distance than the crash itself.

my pass airbag light never comes on even if im driving alone with nothing on the pass seat. is it supposed to come on when there is no one in the pass seat?

No, it comes on when you have something in the pass seat that is not heavy enough to be a person. (this is to avoid airbag deployment when a child or something that would shift forward at the same time as the airbag. Would prob kill a child or slingshot what ever in your front seat)

Don't know the weight, prob around 35-40 pounds.

I had the CD eject problem with my fg1 within the first month or two of ownership. I took it to the dealership and they swapped it with a new one for free.

ive only had the side airbag light come on once with a passenger on it. my friend she only wieghts probably 100
