I'm using the Amsoil SL 5w30 as recommended by Amsoil. Use the online product guide for help.

I believe the XL has an even longer service life then the ASL which I'm using.

I think their best oil is Series 2000 0W-30 but, Honda may tell you they aren't going to cover you if anything goes wrong because it's not the "correct" weight oil...but it is the best oil AMSOIL makes...I've used it on all my cars once warranty runs out...but for now, I'm using the 5W30 Synthetic which is good for 25,000 miles normal and 15,000 miles severe service, although I don't keep it in there for that long. I also use their extended oil filter EAO13 and change my oil and filter at 7-7500 miles. The 5W30 XL Synthetic Motor Oil is good for 7500 miles but not as good as the other two.

2006 HONDA CIVIC 2.0L 4-cyl Engine Code K20Z3

Oil Filter........ EAO13 AMSOIL Ea Oil Filter

LUBRICANTS & FLUIDS
Engine Oil
Grade 1......API*
Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil - Best
SAE 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil - Next Best
SAE 5W-30 XL Synthetic Motor Oil - Third Best
