strange 3rd gear issue

ive noticed that my 3rd gear has a notch at times where it will feel like it is in gear , i will start to release the clutch and as i do , it will slightly grind and pop out of 3rd to neutral

i have been driving stick since i started driving so its not like im some moron who doesnt know how to drive.... and i really feel like there is something wrong here....has anyone else had any similar issues with this?
