This Blows

So I had been waiting a few months to sell my 2002 S2000. The months I was waiting to sell my S, I had been to many Honda dealerships and looked at Si's. Everyplace said we can get you a 07 Si Coupe w/ Navigation in a short period of time. So I am like cool, I would hate to have them look for an Si for me and not even have my S sold yet. So the day my S sold, I went to the dealerships and some wanted to jack me around. So I called a dealership 70 miles from me, and they would do my deal of $23,500 OTD for an 07 Si Coupe w/ Navigation.

So I tell them to go ahead and put down my deposite. It's been about a week, and they said there are only 3 ASM coupes with navi in the 5 states that surround Kentucky. 2 of those have holes drilled in the front bumper, so thats a no no. 1 has it, and they say they do not want to trade with my dealership and will not tell them exactly how many miles are on it.

I am already not happy that they would have to drive the car in from another state and the car could have like 300 miles on it. So I said anyway to get a truck, yes but I would have to pay freight charges.

So because they can not get that one I told them fine look for Fiji and White I guess. So they are going to be looking for these colors.

My other option is there is a silver one with a build date of May 22nd. He insist that they come from Japan (when I think they come from Cananda) He said about a month after May 22nd is when I would get the car. I just can not wait that long, starting a new job at the bank and all that. Also by then, 08's would be coming out soon and I would not be willing to pay 23,500 for one then.

try going to another dealer and see if they can locate the car. most dealers will pull shit like this to make you take one out of their inventory...

That sucks... shame that dealership is being a pain.

My last car (04 GTI) I bought the only silver on in the 5 surrounding states, and they transported it from Louisiana to Texas for free for me. It had been test driven, it had 94 miles on it, but that was better than them driving it all the way to my local dealer.

They should be able to do something for you - that just sucks.

My Honda dealership has been awesome so far, can't fault them.

I guess each dealership thought they would be much easier to locate. I don't think what I am asking is to much. Just no holes in the front bumper and car is not have "high" miles for a brand new car with no test drives.

I called the guy back and said see if you all can find any of the blue and white as well. I need a car soon. I hate to "settle" for whatever, because I really do love silver. But my last two Hondas were Vogue Silver Metallic and Sebring Silver Metallic. So I will see what he can find in blue and white and if not I may say black and grey as well.

Ha to tell you the truth, I have never seen a Fiji in the sun. Like on a sunny day, just in shade all dirty, and one at night at the dealership. When I look at pictures on here of the blue, the blue looks so much different from pictures to pictures. In your pictures blue rocket, I love the color, then I see other colors where it looks deep and girly and I second guess.

I mean this dealership I am working with now seems to be doing the best they can I will admit that. Just they said I would prolly have to pay fright to get it trucked over. Better than one dealership saying I would have to pay the original 595 destination charge. 595 to get a car from out of state and 595 for the car they would have to truck to a dealership to trade. I just laughed and walked out.

Have no fear, the FBP looks super when its clean! Here are pics I just took (my first actually!!!) of my 06 FG2. You are right about it looking darker in some pictures, look at the one angle in the shade vs. the sunny side. But I like the dark look, and Im all dude here.

Wow, I got lucky. I wanted a Taffeta White non-nav Si. Found it at a dealership not five minutes from my parents house.

Yeah don't get me wrong. There are three Honda dealerships around me and they have about 30 Si's in total. Just no coupes with Navi.

Yeah the Si's seem to be a pain in the ass to find with navigation, at least the sedans. I really wanted to an Si sedan with navigation in fiji blue pearl and the best the dealership near me could do was say that there was one in the tri state area. I guess there was a FBP sedan w/ navi in the Chicago area but they didn't know if they could dealer trade for it or not. And it would have those extra 300 miles on it from the get-go. I said forget it and ended up getting a FBP sedan without navi. It would've been nice to have though...

Yeah i hear ya. I played with the Navi for about an hour at one dealership lol. I loved it. I just feel like I need the Navi as a fun factor. I feel weird going from an S2000 to an Si so it's kind of like a deal breaker for me not to have Navi. So either way I will change my color choice. Talk about luck, two dealerships in my city have sedans with Navi.

if you want to look at how a specific color can look like, go to this thread

Color Specific Threads

it can be really hard capturing the "true" color of fiji blue pearl. imo it's the best looking color in person, but maybe that's cuz i'm biased

Yeah I have been looking at that thread for a month now lol. Going to dealerships a few times a week looking at colors in person. Different times of day and all that. I can never seem to catch Fiji Blue on a sunny day.

My first civic was black and I said I would never own another black car. I keep my cars clean, yet black just showed everything. But this would be a brand new car so I could keep it clean from day one.

My second civic was Vogue Silver Metallic, with a Boosted JDM B16.

I then sold that for an 02 Sebring Silver S2000. I kinda wan't a different color, yet silver looks HOT as hell in the sun, at night whenever. Yet it can be plain. I love silver with gold wheels though.
