Interesting eBay Auction...

Look at the salvage... It's only got 1000 miles? Man! What a shame!

all I can say is that I would never buy a car from a person if they can't even get the name of the factory paint color right. that says to me, "we didnt care to research the car before we listed it".

That, and I'm shocked at the going price.

$10k would be my max on that if the engine and tranny are still good. Between those, the navi, and other misc. parts (seats, sound system) the car is worth a decent amount in parts.

It shows to me that they didn't care enough about the car to even find out what the color even is.

If they can't even get the color right, how am I supposed to know whether or not the rest of their description is accurate if the first thing people notice about the car is the color, and the owner couldn't even get the color right.

Quoted from Auction description
"With a little bit of work someone can have a very nice vehicle."

I think I'm going to have to disagree with that being a little bit of work.

This reminds me. One day while I was at a store sitting in my car, waiting for my mom. This guy comes up to me and asked me if my car was an 06 Si, and I said Yeah. Then he told me that he just bought his son a car like mines and that his son blew the engine after a few weeks of having it. He was telling me how angry he was at his son and now the car is sitting in the garage. *sigh*..what a shame..

almost happened to me today, I screwed up 3rd - 4th (went into 2nd), but was able to catch it before the revs got past 8500 (16 yr. old reflexes FTW)

maybe he should buy this car and swap out the engine

IMO if I wasn't going to drive the car hard I would have gotten an auto R18

btw, mis shifts happen, but Honda engines can usually take it, you should have seen my 3rd to 1st mis shift on the s2000 (long story, yes it sounds impossible, but when you're learning to drive stick, stuff happens), that freaked me out. (car had 7k miles when that happened, at 11.7k now and still running strong)

you push down and to the right, and besides, 4th tops out around 100, so unless you're on a track / closed road (or are an idiot), you don't need to worry.

and for R there is a lockout, and at that speed it would grind and wouldn't go in

I know how to shift to sixth, but thanks. I'm just saying it's easier to get that wrong than some of the other gears because of the extra effort to get it into sixth.

okay, from your post and the one before I thought you meant you had problems shifting into 6th when driving the car hard, which kind of confused me

Has damage to the passenger side, there is no frame damage, no suspension damage, sunroof is not broken, right side roof airbag is deployed, the rest of the airbags are intact, windshield and the rear glass are broken, it will come with a salvage title.
Everything is in great working order on the car that isn't damaged, it does run and drive just fine. Everything that's not broke, works great. It runs and drives just fine--umm, and don't worry about the noise from the plastic blowing in the wind cuz the audio system is great

Just curious, but how does it have a salvage title if there is no frame or suspension damage?
