Question question about hfp tire wear

hi, before i get flamed, let me first start off by saying i have searched hfp suspension threads and none of them talk about tire wear, just alignment. you guys said that no camber kit is needed, however an alighnment is required. my question is that with a proper alignment, will the hfp suspension cause any unusual tire wear? question being i have a cb7 and with a camber kit and an alignment almost in spec, it causes a crap load of inner tire wear, which i hate about it.

thanks

what kind of interval are you following for rotations? (Miles) I recommend every oil change ~4Kmiles. I think that works best for these FWD cars with the excess rear camber. If you have problems beyond that, i'd think suspension problem, good luck finding it.

I have the HFP set up, suspension and 18" HFP rims, and I am noticing some inner tire wear on the rear tires only. Not on the front. It isn't massive either, but still noticable.

Hope that helps.

With the HFP suspension you don't need a camber kit because you're not gonna be out of specs. But there might be a little more tire wear on the inside of the tire.

so i don't get it, some of you say yes there will be wear, and others say no there won't be any. which one is true? if it's properly aligned and lowered w/ hfp suspension, will i get tire wear? on any of the four tires?

I think the majority on here says there will be minor tire wear even with full alignment set up (with hfp suspension), but not enough to worry about. I'm thinking of getting one as well.

how much would be minor wear? my old lowered cb7 would wear the tires out within like 10 or 20k miles.

I've only put 3000 miles on my Si, so it's a little early to tell how long the tires are going to last...

There would be a minor tire wear but mostly to the rear. Like I said before you don't need a camber kit because it's not getting out of specs. If you want it back to stock camber setting, get a rear camber kit.
