Nissan SE-R Spec V Smokes Civic Si

my personal opinion: it looks like a prius from the rear, way too ugly in general, may have better numbers but the way it executes the package doesnt compare to the Si and it has a ******* g-meter. come on nissan, who're you trying to kid?

you should specify that they tested it against the Si Sedan, which is heavier than the coupe. I'm not sure how much heavier, but heavier. 2 more power windows and more metal & glass will add a pretty good bit of weight. "Smokes" would be the improper term to use also. It only beat the Si Sedan by .2 seconds in the 1/4mi.

I believe ｉｔ is only around sixty pounds heavier, but I may be mistaken.

Man the downside of the sentras have always been the exterior. If sentras looked better I would have a SE-R Spec V, but seeing how ugly they are i had to pass. Nismo for life, if I do good in my life getting a skyline would be my first goal

I'm a big Nissan guy. I've had 3 sentras, an altima, and currently own a 96 se-r and a 91 300zx twin turbo.. I just drove a 03 Spec V and it was a joke. had more rattles than my 96 se-r. Was torquey but not that fast. I beat it with my se-r with jim wolf S4 cams. his had an AEM intake. Nissan has fallen off in the sport compact world. They need a 2 door with the sr20ve.

Si Sedan : 2945 pounds

Si Coupe: 2886 pounds

2945 - 2886 = 59 pounds.

These numbers were taken off of Honda's website.

*Also, go to Honda.com and click on the Si coupe link...on the little flash movie that plays at the Si Coupe webpage, anyone notice they show an image of the non Si gauge cluster, and not the Si.

wow didn't even see that terrible placement. knew someone who had a previous gen spec v and heard so much problems about it. to me it seems like nissan fell off hard when it comes to reliability.

No, I thought there would be a slight difference, but all the reviews I've read have put the Si sedan exactly with the Si coupe on every aspect.

There are a few that place it minutely ahead of the Si coupe, and some that put it minutely behind the Si coupe, but statistically speaking, they're identical vehicles.

So you a few extra dolla, you get two more doors, 60 more pounds, and the same performance.

That's not a bad deal.
