Best Shifter Knob for SI?

I was seaching around this forum, still did not come to a definate conclusion. Is the Skunk2 Knob the best, or is there a better one? Tell me what you think. I will be buying the Comptech Short Shifter soon, and MIGHT even get the Comptech Springs.

I got a round Razo(?), black leather, red stitching for about $35. The stock knob is f'in awful on a cold morning and I just like the round shape way better. There's lot's of options depends on what you like :)

Your going to get alot of different answers on this one dude... its really all about the looks for 80% of the knobs.. the shunk2 knob is counter weighted which helps with shifting and looks good.. and also has my vote some other knobs are weighted but cost alot more... shunk2 FTW

I just ordered the TWM weighted Type R knob too! They are having a pretty good sale right now, plus an additional 5% off if you sign up for their newsletter. I got the shift knob + the short shifter + the shifter base bushings + the shifter cable bushings + shipping for $200.

I like the stock one myself, a lot of the aftermarket knobs don't have the leather wrap, and here in the valley it is a life saver in the summer.

Personally, I like any shiftknob that's weighted. It makes the throws feel more crisp.

The Skunk2 knob is one choice. I have it, but hate that I have a Skunk2 product on my car. I think I'm going to find another brand right now, actually.

Skunk2 and Blox Racing 6spd knobs are an back order with the manufacturer. Maybe that dealer had some left in inventory...or sent you a 5spd knob?

I ended up getting an HOP Type R knob from JHP.

Should I get the Comptech Short Shifter, and Shift Knob separate, or get a package deal on another brand, like a Skunk2 Knob/Non Comptech Short Shifter/Bushings Kit? Currently, there are no more package deals on the Comptech stuff, as they are going out of business. I have been told that the Comptech Short Shifter was the best out there.

On the one poster that said he hated Skunk products on his car, it would help if I knew the reason behind the hate.

I am torn between the Type R shifter or the Skunk. I actually like the look of the Skunk more, but I think the Type R might be of higher quality. Dunno what to do, but the Skunk is cheaper...
