Wheel Guards Cracked my Back Bumper?
Recently, one wheel on my 07 Si ran up into a snow/ice mound, while backing up at moderate speed, and later I noticed that my wheel guard was loose. Turns out that the back bumper was ripped slightly behind the guard. Honda said they would have to charge me of course, as warranty does not cover outside inflicted damage. They want to use a epoxy or something to fix it, but they are not sure if that will work. Think I should, or should I just replace the back bumper? They want like 70 dollars to do it. Or should I try ether option myself?
Which begs another question-Are the wheel guards even worth it, as it seems they got caught and caused this damage, whereas the bumper would have just bounced back unharmed, IMHO. |
