Dyno top speed video - electronically limited and 9700 rpm

Here is a video of my dyno run, where you can see MY car is limited to 215 km/h (133 mph).

Also, something else interesting happened; I am not allowed to operate the car on the dyno, so the owner was running it. And after I told him to go to the rev limiter in 5th (fastest way to check top speed) and only then shift to 6th, he couldn't find 6th and shifted to 4th. Twice. My RPM's shot up as visible in the video, and I still have a heart attack every time I watch this video (then again I am so glad I got this on video, few would otherwise believe me!). Luckily it's a Honda, I think it will survive, and all will be stock on my car for a while so there's always the warranty. Let me know what you think will happen! And I learned my lesson to make sure whoever is dynoing my car has gone through all the gears and knows where to find them!

So here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffBtl0wYey4

Oh yeah, here's a pic of how I estimated the rpm I hit. I took a screenshot of the needle at it's highest in the video, overlayed it onto a better picture in photoshop, and played around with them to get them to overlap. I don't have the best photoshop skills, but it's something, see the bottom of this post.

Anyways, as for the actual speed limiter, the fact that ToV reached a different conclusion and got their car to 157 mph means something has changed in my car. What's different about my car is that it's the Canadian model, and it is a 2007. So either Honda put speed limiters on all 2007's, or they put them on all Canadian models, or they put them on all Canadian 2007's, or they just put them on MINE, but I don't think anyone can dispute that it's there! So when other people can verify the info we'll know more.

As for the actual dyno number I got I will post them later, they seem insignificant next to this video!

That sucks that he downshifted to 4th twice in your ride. I'm sure if he went from redline in 5th straight to 6th instead of 4th he could have gone faster.

i have an 06 Si but i havent gotten to 215. i've gone as far as 203 but it didnt feel too good on stock tires so i'm going to wait until the summer until i get better rims & tires. i'm pretty sure all Si's in NA are speed limited.

i've had my car holding steady at 134 mph, drag limited, these cars just dont pull in 6th gear. thats the most i've gotten out of it so far. it might have touched 135 before i let off.

other people on this forum reached higher mph than 133 but those people redlined it all the way from 1st to 5th and on 6th they just couldnt get it all the way up.

Yeah, I'm sure any kind of reflash/ECU tune will get rid of that. So it'll be no problem eventually, but right now I'm limited!

No man, the limiter is where it is. if he went right into 6th he would have just reached it earlier (and saved my car some scary RPM's)

sorry to see that overrevving

anyway, i bet that DBW reflash we all did to minimize the rev holding brought our comp up to 2007 standards...

thus the reflash = lower top speed limiter

Who cares? Does anyone really need to go over 130!!!???!!??

Not to mention it's VERY dangerous you can get a HUGE ticket and possibly arrested depending on the jurisdiction...

That blows you had to let him drive. The only time Ive done it I got to drive my own car. If they wouldve told that I couldnt drive, I think I wouldve walked. No drive, No test.
