I filled up, drove for 52 miles ( I can't keep my foot out long) and filled up again. I feel I could attain the same or close maybe around 30mpg if i keep driving like a wuss. Yea I'm gonna do that....right. But anyway, i just wanted to know how good it was capable of. I have noticed full throttle runs use alot of fuel. I did the same thing a few days before but I made 2 0-80 mph runs and I raced a z28 and I got 26mpg. Went the same distance and same city driving.
I am sorry but 33 mpg city for an Si is very difficult to believe unless you idled the car and coasted downhill for all of that time. There shouldn't be that much of a drastic difference either just because you got on it a couple of times. 26 mpg is a lot more believable than 33 mpg city. I drove mine very gently the first couple of fill ups which I got about 24 mpg for the first fill up and then from there on out I always got about 25.5 -26 mpg very consistantly regardless on how I drove the car. That is 80 percent city and 20% highway btw.

mileage improving as break-in passes

After three tanks of gas averaging right at 26 MPG, my mileage has steadily crept upward (no change in route, driving style, etc.). Last tank was at 29.1MPG. Cool!

Yup, I think 26 mpg is a very good Average for the Si with mixed style of driving. At 29.1 you are coasting more than driving the car

Like I said, no change in driving style

My daily route is 60-100 miles (depending on whether I have to go to my part-time job too), mostly four-lane 55-65 mph, hilly country in SW Virginia. I admit I've slowed down some since getting ticketed last month (70 in a 55 zone)- my first ticket in 9 years! [Also, haven't had time to hardwire the V1 in the Si yet.]

It's funny, I had faster cars and flashier cars and didn't get any tickets in years and I buy this Civic Si and in the first week I get a ticket. Maybe
the cops have some sort of unique Radar Gun that tags only Si drivers
I slowed down for a couple of weeks and now it's back to normal and
believe me I am going slow compared to others zooming aorund I-465 here in Indiana. The speed limit is 55 and I usually go 70-75 going to work and I still get passed left and right. I don't even have a Radar Detector. Never needed one before. Only had 3 tickets in all my life including the last one with the Si. That's in over 20 years of driving. 2 for speeding and one for
racing a State Trouper Long story. Needless to say I lost that race

Actually, my ticket last month was issued on the day before I bought the Si, on my last ever trip home in my Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. It had 180K when I traded it (OK, essentially gave it away) on the Si. It was leaking oil and power steering fluid, and needed a clutch (still on the original one!), shocks, wheel bearings, and several new half-shafts. [I traded it because it was about to cost me about $5K to keep it running.]

I am still planning to hardwire the V1, and set it on the corner of my dash. It is less conspicuous there, even if the lower vantage point decreases the range some (compared to putting it on the visor).

I've never been tempted to race a state trooper, but I did pass an unmarked FHP car one evening on the interstate in Miami. He had been riding next to another car which swerved and almost hit him- so, he passed the other car, and I passed them both, at about 80. Oops!

I was getting a steady 24-25 mpg in my SI for teh first 1400 miles. I changed the oil and now I get 26.5. I am pretty happy about that.

Got 31.13 MPG this time, got 9.099 Gallons of gas (93 Octane) and went 283.3 miles before getting gas. I will stick to 93 octane from now on since there's no cost difference between 91 and 93. Also I drove it hard this time and I am surprised I got that good of a mileage out of tank. I would say 90% of it was highway.

Just bought a 2007 Civic Si Sedan, and I got 27.8 mpg on the 2nd tank of gas (91). 30% city and 70% highway. I pushed it a few times though.

Curses... you guys and you're good gas mileage civics. I'm not sure what my civics problem is. I don't drive it that crazy.

First tank of gas was 27 mpg. Aaand that's with me learning to drive manual. The next two were 28 mpg...This is on a brand new 07 SI coupe and Premium (91) gas. I shift it around 3 to 4 thousand and rarely ever vtec it. Needless to say I'm stoked. It should only get better from here. Haven't done any long distance trips yet. Will comment on that if/when that happens.

I just installed a ZEX System and a few other goodies. My mileage went down from 25mpg to about 23.5 mpg I guess it's difficult to keep the foot out of the gas with the Great Sounding Vibrant Exhaust and the ZEX
This is mostly City driving too and rush hour stop and go (emphasising on STOP) Never taken a long Highway trip so I have no clue what the Si is capable off on long trips. Maybe 28-29 mpg but I don't think much more.
