Post 6th Gear

When do u use the 6th Gear?

6th Gear I do not use much- My usual speed on the freeway is between 65-85sh
I have a much better feel for my car staying in 5th gear-

Unless I am going on a long trip and laying back - even then I think I prefere 5th gear- Mainly b/c of the power N control...

3rd gear can take you to any posted speed limit just fine.

Gears 4,5, and 6 are just extra unneeded gears. They're track gears.

6th is certainly not a "fun" gear and is certainly not necessary...even at insane speeds...but saves gas...I use it above 50 in general...

Yeah I kmow about downshifting imo, I usually go from 5 to 4th...
But If I was in 6 gear I would have to downshift twice for a good enough boost.

I guess my style of driving is different from you all - thats why i asked.

anytime i'm holding a speed over like 45 i drop it in 6th. if 6th drops under like 2k rpm i'll generally pop it into 5th instead.

I'll use 6h gear when i'm crusiing above 40 MPH like others have stated.

However, if i'm planning to drive the car hard, I'll be in the gear that gets me to redline soonest.
