Introducing myself. I will buy a 08 Mugen
Hi
My name is Martin Bergvill. I live in north of Norway. I currently have four vehicles. One 1983 Vw Golf I which is the car I mainly use. Then I have a 1991 Honda NSX Sebring Silver which I use on good days. My pride and joy. It's pretty "juiced up". This was before I mounted the 13" bbk. I have recently painted the Wings West in the front too. Here it is ![]() I also have two bikes. A Kawasaki ZXR400 1996 and a Suzuki GSX-R1000 racebike. 3.5 years ago I was down and out after a snow mobile accident. There is still a lot of things wrong with me. And it will always be like that. But the joy of motoring is still there and will for ever be there. The old daily beater is tired and I it will be put to rest soon. And I have searched for a long time for something new that is like I want it to be. I need a new daily beater and I will buy a Honda Civic SI 2008 Mugen. Import it from the US and yet again be that guy with that car that nobody has. I actually sent a email not that long ago to my guy in the US. He owns a Acura dealership and had a Mugen there. Sadly I was to slow and didn't get it. ![]() However he will find another one for me and some day I will have it here. I have read about the Civic SI on this forum on Tapatalk on my S60 Nokia E75. I now have a SE X10 Mini Pro which I use 50 % of the time where I also have installed Tapatalk so I can check the forums whereever I am. Looking forward to check out the forums some more in the future. I have read about the second gear problem. But I do not have all that figured out. I hope a 2008 Mugen will be good to me. I will leave for the US on vacation soon too. This is the plan as of now NSXPO 2010 Las Vegas Great to see you guys. I will try to look at the forums as much as I can. However things are pretty busy as I am just about getting my life back together after that snow mobile accident. And the vacation is also keeping me busy. Welcome to the site! I hope you get the Mugen you're looking for
I would love to have your garage. I love the MK2 Golf, and I really love the NSX. Send me the Golf when you're done with it |

Thank you all for the compliments about my almost 20 year old used car. And thanks for the welcome note above. Yes it is good looking. Nobody believes me when I say it is a 1991 model. The Golf I have is a 1983 model. Isn't that MK1? Well it is the first model/chassis. And it is not that much left of it. But you have to shoot it to get make it die. It would be nice to have a mint MK1 Golf GTI. That is a classic. But the one I have is not a classic. You can't say to a women that she is ugly. But you can say that she is uniqe (spelling). And that is what my Golf is. The NSX get's all the TLC and the Golf just hangs on. A 2008 Civic SI Mugen will look good next to the NSX. And I will get a lot of street cred from the young boys when they see that Mugen wing at the back and badges here and there. ![]() Somebody is driving around New Jersey with "my" Civic SI Mugen though. I guess it is 999 left for sale now. A 2006 Acura RSX Type S A-spec would also be fine. But I can't get it on the road here in Norway. And it is a bit too old. I would guess a 2008 Mugen will be about 330.000NOK/$52.000 on the road here in Norway. Which is less than I paid for the 91 model NSX in 2006. Yes it is crazy. But we have the best welfare system in the world so I can't complain. Regards Martin |

Yes, you've got an MKI VW. I, myself, would like an MKI GTI, but they're pretty rare.
Good luck on the Mugen. Have you also looked into getting an FD Civic Type R imported? Thats what I'd do if I were spending that kind of dough. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJmG48BvrkA Last edited by p nut; 09-07-2010 at 06:42 PM. |

Yes it would be nice to have mint MKI GTI. Classic. The FD Civic Type R..no that would probably not be possible. The one you link to is right hand drive so that's a no no. It will be a huge hassle to get it registered. And I don't want a right hand drive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sukHNCNGpns It would be very nice to have the one above. But it will not happen. It will be a Mugen Civic SI from the US. Importing it at about $23.000 Civic Mugen SI will result in about the price I say above. Importing the Type R you talk about will mean a lot of hassle and probably result in me not getting it on the road as it lacks TUV and all kinds of things. Re: Introducing myself. I will buy a 08 Mugen
Hi
I been driving my Golf since 2003. But a SI Would be a fine NSX sidekick. But it will probably be yet another winter with the Golf. Some day the Civic SI would be here. It got to be the Mugen as that is as special as I want it. Regards Martin Sent from my U20i using Tapatalk |

Hi again
Resurrecting this old thread. I have some very good reasons. And then it's this: Go to photos and find two folders one with my car and one with all I have found out on the net In a couple of months I will have that Civic SI Mugen here in Norway. It has about 7300miles on it. That is not bad. I will probably mount a heater thing to it as we have winter as santa intended it to be here in the wintertime. There will be a trip log from my trip to NSXPO 2010 on the website I link to above. So please visit and leave a comment anywhere. Regards |

Hi
No my NSX was tucked away with it's silk pyjamas on in the garage when I was at NSXPO 2010. I been home since monday 8 november. Flew from the states on 5 november. Flew from Vegas on 10 november. 9 november I was at SEMA. Edit: When we had the big NSX meeting at Findlay Acura in Las Vegas there where somebody there which had a Honda Civic SI Mugen. I talked with him and took pictures. Maybe somebody here on this forum? I have not gotten around to unpack my digi cam yet. And now I'm waiting for my new daily beater which is this one. You can find more pictures on the link to my website. Last edited by martinb; 11-14-2010 at 10:36 AM. Reason: Added info about me talking with a guy in LV which had a Mugen |
