Well, if it helps. I'm from the bay area. and recently just bought myself a brand spanking new 2010 FA5 ASM from hayward honda with 17miles. However... It took me forever to find a new si in general. I personally think it was because of the cash for clunker deal where many 09 si went byebye. then.. when i was looking for a 2010.. it took forever let me tell you that. went to all dealership and didn't find one. until hayward said they have one which was ASM.. lucky me I really had no choice but to take it.. =\ so overall i hope you find what your looking for. it'll be hard getting a new 2010. if anything try getting yourself a used low mileage with a good deal 08-09 si man. He said I'd have to make a down payment of a couple thousand for them to get the car to the dealer. Thing is, after having a '08 black LX, black is just to hard to keep clean so I am in search of a white one. So pretty screwed as of now...

When I bought my car last may, I was told by my local dealership that used to ALWAYS have 1-2 Si's that they didn't have any and didn't have any coming. He looked on the computer and let me look too. He said there were none on trucks in the area and only 5-10, I don't recall on lots around the area which means the surrounding states. He said that overall, Si sales were down down down and Honda had cut back production.

They had cut back production so much that he was told in a meeting that there was a lot of Si seat material left over and that's why they introduced the LX-whatever that used the same seat material as the Si. He said that most people who want a civic want it for gas mileage and don't care much about anything else and most people who want performance don't go with the Si.

About a week later I e-mailed another dealership and they said they had a few, maybe 4. They gave me a really good price cause I don't think they were selling too many of them. I went and bought my sedan.

I wouldn't be surprised if there WAS a shortage of Si's. If they're just not selling well, Honda is not going to produce them so they just sit on dealer lots. Your best bet is to do a national search and get a 1-way plane ticket and go buy it. Otherwise, wait and hope that the 2011 Si is still a go (I'm wondering if they're going to continue with it).

I can +1 to the Si's not being found easily. I just checked my dealership, and I live in South Houston (so it's not like I'm in a small area) and they have 0 Si's of any kind... Which is strange, when I bought mine, they had about 6 in any color you could want and they always did. I came and test drove different Si's several times over an 8 month period and they always had several Si's in stock.

Si's are not hard to find if you don't care what year it is, 06 and up, color, 2D/4D. Try to find a new or used 09+ Si coupe in white is very hard. There are a few blacks 09+ Si coupes. This is in California area.

That's complete BS. Rule #1, don't listen to what a dealer tells you. So few of them actually speak the truth rather than just assuming that because they said it, it must be true.

I see Si's roll off the line every day... they're still very much in production.

SIs are sold just as fast as they hit the floor. salesman told me the car was on the lot for a day and a half before i picked it up, also said 3 other buyers wanted it. as far as not producing them anymore, highly doubt it. there is a white FA5 on the lot for sale. bet it wont last longer than 3 days

I hate to say it but fact of the matter is the Si will never get forced induction it's just not a Honda thing.

The day I bought my Si, right after we made the deal someone came in asking about the car I had just bought. There was also another dyno blue FA5 without navi, and a RR FG2 I believe without navi. I went by the dealer a weak later and both were gone. I've seen one Si on the lot since, a RR FA5, and it already had a sold sign in it.
